Terms of sale and license
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern the sale and use of licenses for the VBReFormer software, published by Devineos. Any order placed on this site implies their unreserved acceptance.
1. Product
VBReFormer is a Windows desktop application for analysing, disassembling and decompiling applications compiled with Visual Basic 5 and 6. The recovery rate depends on the binary analysed; the publisher does not guarantee a result identical to the original source code. The free edition lets you assess, before any purchase, what can be recovered from your own files.
2. Editions and scope of use
Each edition matches a usage context, which the buyer certifies when ordering:
- Personal edition — personal, academic or non-profit use, or professional use within an organisation of fewer than 10 employees.
- Professional edition — commercial use within a company of 10 to 249 employees.
- Company edition — companies of 250 employees or more, public administration, public sector, defence and critical industries.
- One license covers installation on one workstation, per named user or per computer.
Misrepresenting the usage context is a breach of these terms and may result in revocation of the license without refund.
3. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in euros. VAT is not applicable (article 293 B of the French tax code): the amount displayed is exactly the amount charged. Payment is made online by card through Braintree (PayPal Inc.), with 3-D Secure strong authentication. Bank transfer and purchase orders are available for companies and public bodies on request.
4. Delivery and activation
A confirmation email is sent immediately after payment. The license and download link are sent by email once the order is validated, within 24 business hours at the latest. Download links are personal and issued in the buyer's name.
5. Support and updates
Every license includes one year of email support and product updates, extendable to two or three years as an option at purchase. When that period ends, the software remains fully functional: only support and access to new versions stop.
6. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with article L221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied immediately after purchase, which the buyer expressly waives when ordering. The free edition lets you evaluate the software on your own files before deciding. Should a technical issue arise, our support will work with you to find a solution.
7. Lawful use
The buyer undertakes to use the software only on binaries they own or are authorised to analyse, in particular for interoperability and maintenance purposes as provided by article L122-6-1 of the French intellectual property code. Any other use is the user's sole responsibility.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, the competent courts are those of the publisher's registered office (France).
These documents are written in French. Translated versions are provided for your convenience; in the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
